~ Birthday Party ~ Zebra Print and Hot Pink DIVA SPA Party

I finally get to show you the pictures of the party I styled last month for my friend's daughter birthday.  Ariana, the birthday girl, invited a few friends over her house for a SPA party to celebrate her 11th birthday.

She wanted the decor to be Hot Pink and Zebra Print.  We used the Zebra Print Party supplies from Birthday Express.

My friend ordered the Cake from a local bakery and I made the cupcakes and cupcake toppers. I used my flourish punch to made the toppers.

The Super Talented Cathy from The Cake Bomb made the cute and delicious 'Nail Polish' Cake Pops.

I also designed the Water Bottle labels to go with the theme.

The girls got their Facial and Nails done, chat and cheer with champagne {...Just Sprite} in Hot Pink Martini Glasses.

The complete Diva Spa Printable Collectionis now in the Shop.

~ Birthday Party ~ Under the Sea Birthday Bash! Part 1

As seen on Hostess With The Mostess!!

I'm back! I know... I said I was going to be away for 2 weeks and have been now more than a month.

I've been planning party after party this whole month... but at least I have lots of party pictures to show you!

Today I will start with my daughter's 3rd Under the Sea birthday Bash!  And this one comes with pictures overload! That is why I will show you some today and some tomorrow...

I loved how everything turned out!

THE DECOR...

My daughter loves Ariel so we went with the Under the Sea Theme to celebrate her 3rd birthday.

My mom and I did all the decorations: We made blue tulle table skirts, we had a Hand painted mural we used as the main table background and made a blue balloons wall around the room and twisting balloons to simulate the seaweeds under the sea.

THE SWEET TABLE...

I made the cake and cupcakes. I was so happy with how the mermaid fondant cake topper turned out, as it was the first time I have tried to make something like that.  I made the cupcake toppers as well with glittery turquoise card stock and I used my new favorite Flourish punch.  The cupcake-Cake stand is from Wilton.
These gorgeous Cake pops, were from Cathy Alfano from The Cake Bomb, who recently won the Canada Sweets and baking competition and one of the judges was Buddy from Cake boss.

Aren't these adorable?  Crab Cake Pops and Fish bowl Cake pops! Cathy did an excellent work.  Not only the were pretty but delicious too!

I made some sea shells cookies by filling them with butter cream icing and using a white gum ball as the pearls.
 sea creatures gummy skewers

THE PARTY FAVORS...

The party favors were some canvas totes filled with filled with headbands, coral bracelets, lip balms and lots of other goodies. I found the white totes at Michaels and I stamped them with the same motive as the invitations and all the paper decor using iron transfer paper and sew the blue trim.  Iron on transfer designs are now available at my etsy shop.

~ DIY Tutorials ~ Rice Krispie Pops "Little Pirates"

Here are the instructions on how to make these cute little pirates pops:

To make the pops you'll need:

Round Cookie Cutter
Candy wooden sticks
Parchment Paper
Icing decorating tubes {red, white and black}
Treat bags and curling ribbon to wrap pops

50 ml
1/4 cup
margarine or butter
250 g
1 pkg
(about 40) regular marshmallows or 5 cups miniature
2 ml
1/2 tsp
vanilla extract (optional)
1.5 L
6 cups
RICE KRISPIES CEREAL

Preparation
  1. Melt margarine in large saucepan over low heat. Add marshmallows and stir until completely melted. Remove from heat.
  2. Stir in vanilla. Stir in RICE KRISPIES cereal until well coated.
  3. Using lightly buttered spatula, press into buttered round cookie cutter over parchment paper.
  4. Wait a few minutes and insert Candy sticks before they dry completely
  5. Let dry and decorate with Icing decorating tubes {Usually available in the baking section of the supermarkets or specialty store like bulk candy or Michaels}, let dry completely at least 6 hours before wrapping.

You can also make your own royal icing with the mix like shown in the picture above but then you'll need colouring gels, piping bags and tips.

Now you can use any cookie cutter to make any rice krispie pops to match your party theme.

Really easy and yummy!

~ Birthday Party ~ Pirates!! 1st birthday party and Pirate pops Tutorial

I've been meaning to post these pictures for a while. Ivano turned one in October and his mom and I thought a Pirate Party was the perfect theme to celebrate his birthday.

I had so much fun planning all the details of this party and I love how everything turned out!

Ivano loves balloons and we had tons of them!

We wanted to have a "cute" rather than "scary" pirate theme,
that's why we chose the color palette to be sky blue, white and red.

I made the cupcakes and designed the cupcake toppers to match the decor.

I made the most adorable rice krispie pops in the shape of little pirate faces
{Tutorial here}

The tables were decorated with tons of chocolate gold coins, pirate eyepatches,
gold necklaces and gold wrapped Hershey kisses {pretend gems}.

I also made the water bottle labels to match the pirate party theme.

We wrapped the party favors in white and red stripes paper and decorated with a raffia bow and made to match Thank you tags.

All of the pirate party supplies were purchased at the party packagers here in Canada.
Pirate party supplies can be also purchased online at Birthday express.

All of the pirate printable collection now available at my Etsy store.

These boy party ideas were also featured on Spaceships and Laser Beams.
